Day 13: Franklin Loop 1

A rest day was in order for the crew, so I headed out alone. My focus that day was gaining Team Strange points, so I did. I left the Franklin area on the US-64S through Highlands, NC, crossing the Georgia border into Pine Mountain. I then crossed the South Carolina border into Mountain Rest, SC. After, I headed towards Dillard, Georgia for a second checkpoint and back across to the US-64 via Warwoman Rd - a most excellent motorcycle road with nice twisties that gain the top of the mountain there.
A special moment for me was heading back north on the US-64. Almost no traffic, I felt one with the Classic 350. The engine noise echoed off the rock face as I carved pavement along the river. A special moment I will remember for the rest of my life.
