Father/Daughter
Border 2 Border (Mx to Ca) & Beyond 2Up with Papa in Tow

After years of dreaming and months of planning, it’s finally happening. I’ve been fortunate to travel to more than 65 countries, but this time I wanted something different. I’ve already explored much of my own backyard but now, I want to show my daughter what I’ve learned along the way: that while world travel can challenge your perspective, America holds its own kind of wonder. It’s vast, diverse, and layered with meaning if you’re willing to look.

These days, many are chasing destinations. That's okay and in many cases super special. We’re chasing something else. And sometimes, to find what matters most, you have to stop looking for what’s new and start paying attention to what’s already here.

This ride report has deeper meaning to me.
For my father, it's a way to finish business (Adventure Rider Radio).
For my daughter, this ride isn’t a break.
It’s a stake in the ground.
A declaration that meaning matters more than professional momentum.

We started the rider report early (mostly for us to document it) - the journey is upon us, feel free to have a watch!

We're riding across across many of the best road riding in western states with my father and my daughter. He on a K1600GT, we 2-up on a 2020 BMW R1250GS Adventure - from the Mexican border in Calexico to the Canadian border, hugging the coast, turning inland at times. Then crossing the top of Washington to return south. Many of these roads are familiar to us, but how and why we do it is new in every way.
