Adventure & Travel

Travel removes the familiar. It places us somewhere we do not fully understand and asks us to pay attention again. New roads, unfamiliar faces, weather, food, language, distance, discomfort, and uncertainty have a way of making the world feel larger. I photograph travel because movement interrupts routine. It reminds me that there are countless ways to live a life, and that sometimes we need to leave what we know in order to see it clearly.
