Road & Machines

Machines are rarely just machines. They carry memory, identity, work, freedom, obsession, and the marks of the people who use them. The road gives them context. It turns metal into movement and movement into story. I photograph motorcycles, vehicles, and the roads they inhabit because they represent our desire to go somewhere, even when we are not entirely sure what we are looking for. The machine may carry us, but the journey changes us.
